Yes but is the square footage of the roof worth it?. the cost of the extra support to put water on a roof would be expensive. On top of that would the energy saving surpass that? I dont think it would be worth it in a developers point of view
True, but its already required to retain a certain amount water on the roof of all new buildings. Its part of NYC stormwater management.
